The Upper Deschutes is fishing well

8-25-2023
Fly and Field Outfitters

The Upper Deschutes is fishing well. There is about another month we can fish this section until it closes on September 30th. Nymphing has been the most productive with an assortment of nymphs including split case PMDs, jigged pheasant tails, two-bits, and jigged leeches. Terrestrials are never a bad idea and dry-dropper setups are fun and effective. Streamers like sculpzillas, bunny busters, dungeons, etc are also a good way to get some eats from some larger aggressive fish.
