Upper Owens - 8/12/23 - Flows at 87CFS  - Water Temp - 62

Rod Size:  #5-#6 Weights

Tippet Size: 3-4X 

Leader: 7.5ft-9ft 3-4X

Best Techniques: Streamers

Dry Flies: Water was too dirty to bother.

Nymphs: Big and bright until the water clears up.

Streamers: Anything

Eh, the usual summer doldrums out here. Flows are down to pretty much normal levels for the time of year. There could be cattle in the river one day and the waters dirty, and no cattle and the waters clear. Mosquitos are still a problem, and there just aren't a ton of fish in here right now. Top that off with the complete lack of the hoppers I thought there would be this year. I'd fish elsewhere for now unless you want to be mosquito food.
