Bass fishing has been really good on the Daily Double. They have plenty of room on tomorrow's am and pm trip. (BOOK HERE)
The Daily Double came back with 22 Calico Bass, and 210 Rockfish, and 1 sheep head for their 3/4 day.
The T-Bird returned from a 1.5 day trip with 18 Dorado, 5 Yellowtail, and 1 marlin (released) for 24 anglers.

The New Lo-An called in from the water on a  1.5 day trip with LIMITS of Bluefin Tuna (30-100 lbs) for 17 anglers. Now they are on the hunt for Yellowtail and more.

Recommended tackle for any of these trips would include a 30# live bait rod, 50# bait/jig rod and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100# for sinker rigs / knife jigs.

Local trips:

The Daily Double offers ½ day trip departing everyday at 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. They have been fishing the local kelp beds for bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.
 
The Mission Belle has full day trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30#, a jig rod with 40# or 50# and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)

If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock.
