East Walker River Fishing Report
8-7-2023
Kens Sporting Goods Staff
The flows on the EW bounced around a little this past week but are back up to about 545 cfs today. As in past weeks we’re still getting some good reports from down there, mainly on streamers but some on nymphs. There are still not many anglers willing to deal with the higher flows but the ones who are, and have some experience with the higher flows are doing well. Wading is very difficult/dangerous so there’s really not much wading going on per se, most anglers are working the softer water nearer the bank and there seems to be plenty of fishing hanging out in those places. Some patterns to try include: sculpzilla, dead drift crayfish, zuddler, ziwi, double bunny, squirmy wormy, rubber worm jig, perdigon nymph.
