Another "How Big Is Big?" derby is in the books! The fishing was anything but kind, but those incredible fishermen worked hard and knew how to fish! Not that they weren't frustrated at times! This year's winner was Michael Royere of Gardnerville with this 6# 7oz. 24 3/4" beauty!

I am ever so grateful that all the people we missed for a year made the trip! There was a lot of catching up and new memories made.

When we started the Derby 23 years ago, we KNEW there would be years where we didn't have a great winter and the fishing would be good the fist half of July and other years where the winter was harsher and the last half of July would be good! But I will never ever complain about winters that give us water.....no matter how much I hate shoveling snow! And last winter was definitely one for the record books!

Give me a day or two to get all the entries logged and a prize list finalized and I will post ASAP. Megamillions is $1.25 BILLION so that will slow me down!

I so enjoyed you all! Thanks for another great year!

Deb
