Update from Sherry at the shop:  Today was special.  The best of the best of the Queen of Hearts alumni came out to celebrate a great guy...Beav, who was celebrating his 60th birthday exactly how he wanted...with friends fishing onboard the Queen of Hearts.  Beav is one of a kind.  He has a great attitude.  He is so giving, and so thankful for what he has and what comes his way.  Today's trip were all folks who have joined the Queen of Hearts for well over the past 20 to 30 years and fished together on the boat over all those years.  They are all the cream of the crop and why we have done this "fishing" thing all these years.  They have fun.  They enjoy the comaraderie of fishing with those of the same mindset.  It's about having fun, about enjoying those you're with.  Of course they caught their rockfish limits, no doubt, and 9 lingcod sweetened the pot, too.  Dylan, Geno's grandson who is stepping right into his Grandfather's shoes, landed a nice 8 lb. lingcod to celebrate his upcoming 13th birthday.  I heard Richard caught nothing but reds...yes, he's learned well.  We saw folks we don't get a chance to see as often as we'd like...Doc, Ernie, Lee, Wall, Jerry, Jan, Tosh, Sunny, and of course their guests.  Even Capt. Bob made it out for this trip, and had fun elbowing those around him and catching a fish or two...or ten...no surprise.  Happy Birthday, Beav...and Dylan...so glad you had a wonderful day on the water!
