Daily Double AM: 50 Calico Bass Released, 28 Calico Bass, 18 Rockfish, 15 Barred Sand Bass, 4 Sheephead, 2 Whitefish

The Mission Belle called in with an update for their Full Day trip - 20 Bluefin Tuna and one Yellowfin Tuna with fish still biting!

The T-Bird returned from a 1.5 day trip with 24 Bluefin Tuna and 125 Rockfish for 24 anglers.

The El Capitan still has 3 spots left on tonights 1.5 day trip departing at 8 p.m. The trip price is $565 and includes food and mexican permit. THIS TRIP WILL RUN FOR SURE! (BOOK HERE)

Recommended tackle for any of these trips would include a 30# live bait rod, 50# bait/jig rod and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100# for sinker rigs / knife jigs.

Local trips:

The Daily Double offers ½ day trip departing everyday at 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. They have been fishing the local kelp beds for bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.
 
The Mission Belle has full day trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30#, a jig rod with 40# or 50# and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)

If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock.
