Hey everybody! The spotlight is on Keyani this week for this nice catfish he caught! The catfish bite has been hot lately, and he got in on some of the action! We most recently stocked lakes 3 and 4 with 1,000 lbs. of catfish each last Friday. Our following stock will be on July 7th. Catfish have been biting the best off of stinkbait, shrimp, mackerel, or nightcrawlers!
The bass bite has remained consistent over the past few weeks. There has been action on all the lakes, but Lake 5 still produces the best results. The best bait to use right now for bass are spinners, crankbaits, swimbaits, and a few reports of top water working. If you have little ones you want to teach how to fish, right now is also a good time. The bluegill are biting and the perfect fish to try and catch when showing them the ropes. Wax worms work really well or other tiny-sized baits. There are plenty of action and fun events, so make sure to come on out!
If you're feeling hungry while you're out here fishing, stop on by @angrypetespizza! Located next door to the General Store, they serve pizza, sandwiches, burgers, sweets, and beer! We hope to see you out here!
