It took longer than usual to get going this year but the perch bite has begun! Fish are moving in shallow and we're finding better scores by the day. Now is the time to get on them and we have dates available.

Yesterday's anglers wanted to get in on some perch action and that they did! Kid outfished grandpa as they had a fun, jam-packed morning full of bent rods and big smiles. They kept some for dinner and caught and released a bunch more. The perch bite has been a few weeks behind this year due to the big winter but they're starting to chew.

We offer Perch Special Trips for those that like to target these fish. We'll be running these trips until sometime in July, dependent on the bite.

For those that like to keep fish to eat or just want a change of pace from trout fishing, we target Sacramento perch, also known as Crowley chicken as they are great eating. We target them in shallow water with light gear, making for fun fishing for adults and kids alike. They average about 1/2 to one pound each with 2+ pound fish common. With a limit of 25 perch per angler, it's not hard to see why so many people like targeting these for the fun and table fare! Catch and release is always an option on these trips as well.

Perch season is short and sweet. Prime dates available. 4 hour trip - 7 AM, 11 AM or 4 PM departure options.
