Big Hungry

The Daily Double came back from their moring half day run with 16 Calico Bass, 20 Sand Bass, 15 Rockfish and 1 Sculpin. 

The American Angler returned from a 1.5 day trip with 41 Bluefin and lots of Rockfish. The tuna ranged from 25-186 lbs.

The New Lo-An returned from a 2 day trip with 35 Bluefin up to 160 lbs and some very nice Rockfishing.


Capt Fred Huber on the Daily Double came back from his 1/2 day AM charter with 22 Calico Bass, 52 Sand Bass, 27 Rockfish and 1 Whitefish. 

The Daily Double is a WILL RUN for today AM 1/2 day!

The Daily Double departs everyday at 8:30 AM. They will be fishing inshore throughout the weekend of the 27th and 28th. Starting Monday, May 29th the Double is adding a second trip departing at 3:00 PM. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.

Departing on Friday:

The El Capitan has a 1.5 day with a DEFINITE GO leaving Friday night at 7pm. Trip price is $565 and includes both meals and mexican permits.  (Book now)

Local trips:

The Mission Belle has a few trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30# and a jigs rod with 40# or 50#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)


Offshore fishing trip:

The 2023 schedules for the El Capitan, New Lo-An, Oceanside 95 and T-Bird are now available online. Bluefin Tuna from 40# to 100# are biting in 1.5 day range. You can book your reservation through the following links:

New trip added:

The Oceanside 95 has a reverse 1½ day trip scheduled over Memorial Day weekend. Departure time is 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 28th with a return time is set for 7:00 PM on Monday, May 29th. Ticket price includes fishing permits for Mexico, bait and your bunk. Food is additional. (BOOK NOW)

 

9th Annual Western Outdoor News / San Diego Offshore Jackpot Tournament is scheduled for June 30th. The Oceanside 95 will be one of the boats competing in this year’s event. Ticket price is $350 and includes your $20 jackpot entry fee. Departure date is June 29th at 8:00 PM. No passport required for this trip. If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock.
