Friday morning update with Scooter

Big Hungry
The Vagabond just reported in from thier 1st of a 3 day trip with really good Bluefin fishing with 46 between 40-80lbs.
The Independence returned from a 3 day trip with 35 Bluefin 7 Yellowtail and really good Rockfishing.
The American Angler returned from a 3 day trip with 34 Bluefin (most 40-60 lbs with a few at 80 lbs and 1 over 100 lbs) 53 Yellowtail and really good Rockfishing.
The New Lo-An returned from their 2 day trip with 10 Bluefin (20-40 lbs and 1 @ 150 lbs) 40 Yellowtail, 4 Ling Cod and really good Rockfishing.
The Oceanside 95 and El Capitan are a definite go for 1.5 day trips tonight! The Oceanside 95 is $435 and includes the mexican permit. The El Capitan is $565 and includes food and mexican permit. Both boats depart at 7:00 p.m.
The fleet is reporting good Yellowtail fishing on full day trips and the Bluefin bite looks to be improving. We have full day trips available all week, along with 1.5, 1.75, and 2-day trips. Call our office 619-223-1627 or book online!
Local trips:
The Mission Belle has a few trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30# and a jigs rod with 40# or 50#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)

The 2023 schedules for the El Capitan, New Lo-An, Oceanside 95 and T-Bird are now available online. Bluefin Tuna from 40# to 100# are biting in 1.5 day range. You can book your reservation through the following links:

New trip added:
The Oceanside 95 has a reverse 1½ day trip scheduled over Memorial Day weekend. Departure time is 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 28th with a return time is set for 7:00 PM on Monday, May 29th. Ticket price includes fishing permits for Mexico, bait and your bunk. Food is additional. (BOOK NOW)
9th Annual Western Outdoor News / San Diego Offshore Jackpot Tournament is scheduled for June 30th. The Oceanside 95 will be one of the boats competing in this year’s event. If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock. The American Angler came back this A.M. from a 1.5 day trip with 6 Bluefin Tuna, 2 Yellowtail and some very good Rockfishing. The New Lo-An returned from their 2 day trip this morning with 17 Bluefin Tuna (25-80 lbs) for 25 anglers. The Sauerfish called in this morning from their 1.75 day trip with 7 Bluefin Tuna (40-90lbs), 3 Yellowtail, and 1 Mako for their 6 Anglers.
