New Lake Record Redear!

San Vicente Reservoir Staff

Big news this week is a new lake record Redear! Larry Lauman of La Jolla, landed a 4.2lb. giant on a nightcrawler from his kayak, on Mothers Day. The big fish was released unharmed. Up until now, it’s been a solid bluegill bite on drop shot crawlers, in the backs on coved. The bass bite has slowed just a bit for most, possibly due to the full-on plankton bloom. But good numbers of 1.5lb. to 3lb. Range have been showing. Fly-lined plastics, flukes, jigs and drop sot have all been producing well. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week.

Trout are also being caught...... Read More
