Crane Praire Fishing Report
5-5-2023
Fly and Field Outfitters
A group of shop guys did some fishing on Crane Prairie yesterday and had a good day. They caught most of their fish on balanced leeches in black and olive but also a few on tiny midges in the 20 range. The lake is ice free for the most part but there is still some ice around the Quinn launch and both the Quinn and Rock creek launches have lots of snow around them. There are some drifting trees to watch for while boating so take it slow. Water temps ranged from 41-48 across the lake.
Heres a Forest Service Link that they will update about dock installations and ramp openings as conditions improve.
