Lately the fish report seems more like a weather forecast. The lake is still murky due to the rains and run-off with another possible storm headed this way next week. Big fish of the week belonged to Carlos Magana of Escondido who caught a 10.40# trout on rainbow powerbait in Willow Cove. Scented baits or flashy lures are what is working best.

Catfish can be found throughout the lake and prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver.

Crappie are beginning to be caught in modest numbers in Boat Dock Cove and at Crappie Rock. They respond best to mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
