Catching Smiles at Lake Siskiyou

The winter weather in Siskiyou County has been all over rhe place but the fishing at Lake Siskiyou has been fantastic.

Wind rain snow and ice has not hindered catching browns and rainbows the past few weeks. Trout in the 12 to 25 inch range and 1 to 6 pounds have remained on the bite. Trolling various plugs and spoons has brought some excellent quality Rainbow meat to the net. We have been releasing nearly all the Browns. These hard fighting fish have been a blast to catch and fabulous eating quality. The meat has been beautiful check out the pictures.

Lake Siskiyou is a beautiful little lake nestled near Mt Shasta and provides postcard worthy pictures on literally every trip. Fishing will remain from now until early June. Camping begins to take over the lake at this time and lake traffic makes it difficult to fish during the heat of summer.

Give me a call 530 905 0758, I am booking trips now for McCloud, Shasta and Whiskeytown Kokanee as well. You book online at Caldwellfishing.com
