The river is in good shape color-wise, but it’s still a little big

As of Wednesday, flows were just under 5,900 cfs at Scotia. The river is in good shape color-wise, but it’s still a little big. It will be in prime shape by the weekend and should take some pressure away from the South Fork. Hopefully there will be some fresh steelhead making their way through the system.

Eel River: Back on the drop but will need at least another week before it’s in fishable shape
Eel River - South Fork: The river is dropping quickly this week and it should be back in fishable shape by later in the week
Van Duzen River: Flows were back under 750 cfs and it could be fishable by later in the week
Smith River: The river is dropping quickly and will be back to low and clear conditions soon
