The Fly Shop
Baum Lake is fishing very well right now. There are still a TON of brown trout now chasing Wooly Buggers. Actually, they are pretty bitey right now, so you should be able to get them on a variety of offerings. They are also eating up top, so bring our small dry flies for the surface action. Midges in the morning are a definite staple here, fish the red or black Zebra Midges and make sure you have all of the sizes from #14 - 18. Some BWO's are also coming off on the cloudy days, so the smaller black Two Bit Hooker or the Jigged Micro May work well. On days where the fish are eating on the surface, bring some small Adams, #18 - 20, and your favorite BWO dries. Our guides have this place wired if you are looking for some tactical advice on fishing a great spring creek fishery with an expert!
