Cold December Klamath Steel warms the blood

Temperatures ranging from 15 to 35 degrees, numb fingers and toes, breath you can see, frozen eyes on the rod, then mix in a little frozen rain an snow, and now you have Winter Steelhead fishing on the Klamath river.

This matters not to the Winter Steelhead fisherman because the tug is drug that warms the blood and a lot of good hot coffee, haha. Fishing on the Klamath has been blood warming. My clients the last gew days have been casting plugs lathered in ProCure Carpspit and hooking up with some fat hard fighting Steelhead in the 20 inch class and 2 to 7 pounds.

Yesterday on the Klamath VIDEO

My clients have also been hooking up with hard fighting 8 to 12 pound Coho (Silver) Salmon. A little extra surprise but fun as hell. These Salmon like the unclipped Steelhead must released but they are quite the hard fighting fun fish.

Christmas is almost here and if your looking for that last minute memory making gift, the solution is get your friend or loved one a guided fishing trip with me. I have a gift certificates available they make great stocking stuffers.

Give me a call 530 905 0758 or book online at Caldwellfishing.com

I have a few December days available and I am now booking for January, February and March Steelhead fishing on the Klamath river.
