As usual,  the rockfishing trips during the month of October produced limits of pretty much all prime bottomfish every trip along with a handful or so of lingcod most days.  Next Saturday, November 5 is the start of the recreational Dungeness crab season.  We'll be running crab only trips for the first week then switching to crab/rockfishing combo trips the following week.  We'll be using heavy duty conical hoop nets to start due to  recent crab regulation changes banning the use of crab pots until DFG decides otherwise.  The commercial crab season is on hold until at least December 1 and will be reviewed towards the end of November.
