Kaibab Lake Fishing Report

10-19-2022
Arizona Game & Fish Department

The day use area and boat launch are open, but the campground is closed for the winter. Fishing for trout is your best bet. Small lures, flies, corn, and PowerBait should work well. Warmwater species such as bluegill, crappie, bass, and catfish are congregating in deeper water around cover. The water clarity has improved some, but is still fairly turbid (dirty), so fishing with bait or very slowly with flies and lures will produce the best results. The lake level is low, but launching a small boat is still achievable. The limit is 2 bass minimum size 13 inches, the limit is 4 channel catfish.
