Our local angler Bryon Kilgore was fishing from shore here along the Colorado River below the Davis Dam and landed a couple of stripers. He was using a rooster tail and fishing from the end of Park Street. These striped bass are on the larger side of what most anglers have been landing. Mostly the stripers have been in the 1-to-3-pound range even up on Lake Mohave. A reminder there are some of the larger fish out there and this time of year is a good time to be targeting the larger fish. I like throwing lures the glide baits in the 6" range seems to be most productive.
Up on Lake Mohave it's been a bit slow where anglers have to hunt the coves and some of the deep water to find their prey. The other part the fish will bite for a while and then it's off. Like they are swimming in circles or just cruising for better feeding grounds. Not much word from the marsh and I am assuming it's the water levels and our weather it's been hot and muggy this year. one more wrench in the works the price of fuel has not helped much. So, remember our shore fishing works very well, and we will be getting our rainbow trout soon hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and your story Thanks so much for all of your support
