Nevada Department of Wildlife
Tell your friends and family the youth chukar and youth California and Gamble's quail hunts begin this weekend! Chukar and quail hunting are a great way to introduce your kids to hunting and spend time outdoors with family and friends. The youth hunt starts October 1, and has been extended this year to October 9.
The general chukar season and all quail seasons open statewide on October 15. For more information on youth small game seasons, view our Small Game Hunting Seasons and Regulations here.
Additionally, NDOW releases the annual Chukar Forecast to help you prepare for your hunts! This report is intended to provide upland game hunters with general information on chukar productivity in various areas, thereby offering suggestions of more promising mountain ranges to hunt.
