Stocking: The last stocking of 1,000 pounds of catfish was the week of September 5th. There's another 1,000 pounds going into the lake this week! Only two more stockings left until catfish season draws to a close. For an updated stocking schedule CLICK HERE. Trout season is coming soon! As soon as we have a date for the opener, we'll let you know. 

What's the catch? Bass and Bluegill were a plenty this weekend! Most of the bass bite was reported on the south shorelines between the t-dock and Hermit Cove. Several anglers reported that they were biting on shiners. The sunset bite has been the most active for bass the past couple of weekends. Bluegill love to school in Cloister Cove and Half Moon Cove. Wax worms, meal worms, a piece of nightcrawler or red worm all work well for panfish. They're not picky! No reports of catfish bite this weekend, but with over 6,000 pounds in the lake this season, we know they're out there. Just about everything is biting on nightcrawlers this time of year.

Conditions: The surface temperature is around 81 degrees. With the water draw last month, there is more shoreline to fish! The rangers have cleared tulles around the t-dock and the old boat launch.
