Fish Report for 9-9-2022

The Crooked River has been fishing well. Nymphing has been the most consistent method for picking up fish throughout the day. Smallish (16-18) caddis and mayfly nymphs will get the job done. Scuds are also a favorite on the Crooked. As far as dry flies go, caddis will be important to have in case you find yourself in the right place at the right time and having a variety of colors and sizes will serve you well. Swinging soft hackles and small streamers is also a fun and effective way to get some grabs.
