Summer bite is still here!!
Cachuma LakeWater Temperature:71 degrees Summer bite is still here!! A whopping 10.14 pound bass caught this week along with four 6+ pounders along the shelves and in the coves. Topwater bite is going off for bass as well if you can make the morning trip happen! Trout being caught in the early mornings by the dam using deep diving rapalas and drifting worms at 40+feet. Cachuma LakeAugust bite is still good. Catfish are being caught all over the lake from shore and also from a rental boat fishing bottom with mackerel or a night crawler. Catching limits before 12pm daily. The crappie bite is still active with the crappie being caught off of any bottom structure or find them chasing bait balls in open waters being suspended at around 25 feet.
