Big Rainbows and Cutthroat Biting
9-5-2022
Andre Nersesian
Just as things were picking up, along came the holiday crowd and put a damper on the improving bite. Everyday last week was good fishing leading up to the weekend. Friday we saw a larger draw than we had in a long time and by Saturday the limited fishing zone had 40+ boats and tubers working the not so eager trout. We found our pickings throughout the weekend and some toads made a showing. A big portion of the fish have been big cutthroat and big rainbow trout - the browns seem to be MIA as of late. Saturday we had a few heartbreaks on BIG bows but Sunday was redemption time as we boated some big cutthroat and rainbows to 22"
Look for things to improve with the crowds all gone now and cooler weather ahead. We have open dates, get in touch to get on 'em! (760)920-1192 or shoot us a message here to get in on the action!
