Donner Lake has good water levels right now
8-19-2022
Mountain Hardware & Sports
Donner Lake has good water levels right now, around 95 percent of capacity, but the fishing is somewhat slow. Anglers going out on the water can find Kokanee in the middle of the lake around 80 feet deep. The mack bite is much deeper in the water column, around 120 to 160 feet deep. Anglers fishing for macks should troll with rapalas and lyman lures. There is a decent shore bite off of China Cove and the boat ramp. Shore anglers should use powerbait or live worms at Donner Lake.
Donner Lake is currently at 95% capacity.
