PG&E will be performing maintenance on the bridge over Lake Britton Dam from April 18th through September 2nd. You will have to go around on Clark Creek Rd to the north, or access Pit 3 from Big Bend in the meantime.
The entire river from Pit 3 - Pit 7 is fishing well right now. The temps on the gage above Fenders Ferry Bridge are staying below 65 F for now, but keep your eye on them. Fish will begin migrating towards the cold seeps as we have some hot weather coming up. For now, the main bugs to throw are Amberwing Prince Nymphs, UV Sallies, the red Hollopoint, black Perdigon, and any of the Jigged Bird's Nests. Towards dark the Caddis are beginning to come off in droves, you can swing some soft hackles, try an Elk Hair Caddis or dark Missing Link.
As always, the flows on the Pit can and will change without notice, so definitely check before you go! And be prepared to get out when the river begins to rise.
Here are some useful links to monitor the flows:
Pit 3 - Below Pit 3 Dam
Pit 5 - Through Big Bend
