Gray whales are our resident species that flock to the abundant area every summer. These whales are part of the baleen group meaning they are bottom and filter feeders rather than the toothed carnivores (Orcas!) that share the area during the migratory season.

Wonderful weather makes for a great day of whale watching. It was a bit windy today but the sun brings out the mysid shrimp in the kelp which brings out the whales in force! We are looking at our resident Gray Whales during this time until the end of the summer. We would love to take you out to meet the very best residents along the entire coast.
