We had a few chances and then some converting on them a little less than preferred. It happens. Between one hundred pound class bluefin ambushing anglers targeting 40-60's with lighter gear, a rolling sea state, and plain old luck of the draw sometimes the fish get the better end of the odds. After a full day of fish watching patiently angling for the occasional bite, then a good hearted night effort that produced nothing we opted to slide down the line in favor of variety and action fishing tomorrow.
