Anglers looking for Kokanee at Donner Lake should focus in the 50 foot water column
7-14-2022
Mountain Hardware & Sports
The fishing off the shore is slow at Donner Lake since it hasn’t been stocked yet. Shore anglers are having the most success using a fish finder bottom rig with powerbait or worms. Casting lures is best in the early mornings and evenings. Anglers looking for Kokanee at Donner Lake should focus in the 50 foot water column first thing in the morning. After morning, most Kokanee are deeper in the 80 foot column.
Donner Lake is currently at 93% capacity.
