Arizona Game & Fish Department

AZGFD staff, with assistance from BigFishBullies, FishIn48 and United Arizona Anglers Foundation (UAAF), stocked 12,000 Florida-strain bass fry into Saguaro Lake. The fry were spawned and raised by staff at Bubbling Ponds Hatchery.

The fry were taken out to different parts of the lake where there was good fish habit. The hatchery is working on improvements and additions that will allow staff to more efficiently spawn, hatch, feed and grow this species "in-house" for the waters of Arizona.
