The East is flowing at about 84cfs today, the temperatures are hanging in there and still in the 60’s for much of the river though with the weather warming up lately this likely won’t last for too long. I’d expect that by the end of the month it may be time to stay off the river, at this time the fish are still happy and healthy with lots of energy, we’ll do our best to keep a close watch on it and let you know how the temperatures progress. That being said, the fishing down there has been pretty good for some and of course not so good for others. The successful reports we’ve been getting have been mostly with dries and dry/dropper rigs, we’ve had some good early morning reports with dries like parachute adams, elk hair caddis, tricos, as well as some dry/dropper rigs with chubby Chernobyl’s and stimulators on top and perdigons, silver streaks, rainbow warriors or psycho princes underneath. The dry action has also been decent in the evenings with E/C caddis, elk hair caddis and blue wing olives.
