I am hearing of reports of trout near and under the docks along the casinos. Our local angler Richard Erdmann landed a 3.28-pound rainbow at 22 and 1/4 inches at community park. He was fishing from shore using a trout jig in a brown color. this is a nice fish and was red meat inside. (pictured is Scott Barker and son Colin Barker with trout from Rotary park area).
I have been hearing the striper bite is doing well from both up on Lake Mohave and here along the shores of the Colorado river below the Davis dam.
Not much word from the marsh area as of yet but soon I am sure. The stripers on shore are being active and have been landed mostly by bait anchovies of course. I am not saying that other bait will not work or as well but anchovies produces fish. I am a fan of swim baits and glide baits mostly in the trout pattern. there are a lot of great lures to try and I encourage anglers to experiment and to improve their skills and mostly let me know what is working.
Our shore line has some very good spots for anglers of all sorts of skills and our fish seem to make sure they get by all of these spots as they continue to make circles up and down the river.
Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and your story. Mostly thanks for all of your support Now go Catch a fish Rusty Riviera Marina 520 Riviera Blvd. Bullhead City Az. 928-763-8550
