Sunrise Sportfishing
Howdy Y'all, it's Trejan again on the Sunrise. Today we went on a 5 hour charter trip with 13 people. To start off our day, we left the harbor and headed north. We traveled for about 20 minutes before we layed our crab pots. After laying the pots, we traveled further north for an additional 10 minutes. When we got to our first fishing spot, we got 3 fish on our first drift. We proceeded to catch 4 on the second, and 3 again on the third. We caught between 2-4 fish a drift, with the exception of catching 6 or 7 on a few others. Since the current was a little funky, our drifts were quite fast. We ended up limiting out in about an hour and a half. We then decided to go target Lingcod afterwards. We did this for the remainder of the trip before we had to go crabbing. We ended up with a modest amount of 36 crab. After crabbing we wrapped up our trip and headed back to the harbor. It was a little rainy, but the ocean was smooth almost the entire trip. Overall, it was a great day to go fishing.

Thanks to the captain and crew of the Sunrise we were able to see a young adult today that was estimated to be around 25 feet. These animals are imprressive no matter the size and we would love to take you on the water to view them up close....... Read More
