The Fishin' for $50K Trout Derby is Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 6AM to 2PM each day. Entry is $80 for adults and $30 for participants under age 16. Entries are limited to the first 650 registered anglers.

Discounted entry of 50% off is available to participants who stay at least one night at a Big Bear Lake lodging facility or rent a pontoon boat at any participating marinas in Big Bear Lake.

This is a two-day trout derby. Online & phone pre-registration ends at 5PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

In-person registration takes place from 12 noon - 10PM on Friday, June 10, 2022. There is no entry on June 11 - only check-in for pre-registered anglers.

The derby runs from 6AM to 2PM on both days (6/11/22 & 6/12/22) of the derby.

Non-Grand Prize Tagged Fish

$500 per tagged trout for the first five non-grand prize tagged fish brought in.

The awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, June 12 at 3:30PM at Bartlett located at 630 Bartlett Rd in the Big Bear Village. The awards ceremony includes a general raffle with thousands of dollars worth of fishing gear, bait and tackle from national manufacturers.

Anglers have a chance to win a brand new fishing kayak as part of a separate raffle courtesy of Big Bear Sporting Goods.
