Fish Report for 6-14-2005

6-14-2005

We returned this morning from a day and a half trip with 27 albacore which were caught by 15 anglers. All of our fish came from an area about 90 miles from San Diego. The weather that we had to work in yesterday was far from ideal. 15 to 18 knots of northwest wind and 6-8 foot seas all day. Although the weather was rough it was still fishable. The fish ran about 20 - 30 pounds on average and we did have at least one fish over 30 pounds. The majority our fish were caught on flylined sardines and the guys that did the best were fishing short flourocarbon leaders.
