Detroit Lake was just beautiful yesterday. I want to thank Bob & Dick for returning from last year to fish with me again. Even though the day was picture perfect, the kokanee and even the trout were not playing fair. We did grind it out and managed to put 10 fish in the box. Best advice, stay in the fish, move up and down in the water column. DON'T GIVE UP!!! Eventually something will get hooked. Don't know if this had any effect on the fish, I did have the Detroit Ranger office staff Shawn & Amy (supervising ranger & activities permit specialist) conducting a ride along, and we still had a great day on the water.
