In this week's Nevada Wild, Ashley Sanchez and Aaron Keller sit down with NDOW Educators Zac Campbell, Jan Nemec, and Abbey Czarnecki to talk about carp fishing in Nevada! Abbey recaps the recent annual Carp Rodeo at Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge, and Jan fills us in on the Kids Carp Derby happening on Saturday June 4, at Lahontan Reservoir, along with other western Nevada carp derbies this summer.

Jakes Creek Reservoir (Boies Reservoir): The lake is full
Illipah Reservoir: Anglers will do well with a variety of night crawlers
Humboldt River: As of May 13, the South Fork of the Humboldt was flowing at 50 cfs
Cave Lake: Cave Lake is lowered to minimum and unfishable
Angel Lake: The road to Angel Lake was plowed a two weeks ago
Cold Creek Reservoir: The reservoir is filling nicely and has been stocked
Comins Lake: Surface water temperatures are in the low 50’s
Bruneau River: As of May 13, the Bruneau River was flowing at 125 cfs
