Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Rusty

How about this the catfish are biting this is the news from the Topock marsh area. Our local anglers fresh water Cliff (Cliff Burkes) and Catfish Ken (Ken Stephens) were fishing in the marsh and landed a few channel cats. They were using chicken livers and shrimp and they were on their boat. This is great news as the pan fish are starting to nest and the largemouth bass are moving on and should be getting hungry.

Our returning angler Gary Regan with his son Richard Herline that is visiting from Showlo. They were fishing from Garys boat just below the rotary park area using anchovies and landed these stripers. Garys weighed in at 4.86 pounds and was 25 and 1/4 inches while Richards was 5.52 pounds and 26 and 1.8 inches. this is a great size fish, and these do put up a great fight and will peel off some line.

A reminder check your drag and have a good knot. I have been hearing of some anglers having some success up near the casinos as well. Anchovies and various swimbaits have been working the best for the stripped bass.

Not much word from up on Lake Mohave as of yet and again the winds have been keeping most off the water up there. Hope this helps some for now we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch,.

Mostly thanks so much for all of the support.
