Sunrise Sportfishing
Howdy y'all, It's Trejan on the Sunrise. Today we fished and crabbed with 10 anglers. After we left harbor, we went southwest for about 5 minutes to lay our pots. After that, we traveled 5 minutes south for our first drift. For our first drift, we caught 5 rockfish. We then caught 3 on the second and 5 on the third. We constinatly caught between 3-6 rockfish every drift. We slowly made our way south and then back north again near the end of the trip. We caught some massive Cabezon but we released then instantly because the season for them opens up July 1st. An angler also ended up catching a sea star which is something you don't see very often. After we got our rockfish limit, we tried to target Lingcod before we had to go crabbing. We ended up with 40 crab so everyone ended up getting 4 crab and 5 rockfish a piece. It was an enjoyable fantastic day on the ocean and a great day to be fishing on the Sunrise.
