Some salmon were biting really well up the coast today

The weather was great today so some anglers fished for rockfish up the coast. The rock fish were on the bite near Davenport and Wilder Beach. There were some salmon biting really well up the coast near the Davenport Fingers. The salmon were biting near the east edge of the Soquel Hole and down near Mulligan Hill. The majority of anglers caught 1-4 salmon on the east edge of the Soquel Hole. The Mulligan area sounded good first thing in the morning. The anglers at Mulligan Hill had some limits by 8 am. There have been a few halibut caught near the Mile Buoy. The perch were biting near Rio del Mar

The salmon fishing was slow today and there were not many reports due to lack of boaters. There were a few fish caught on the east edge of the Soquel Hole. The Mulligan's area sounded slow. There have been some halibut caught near the Mile Buoy. The rock fishing was decent on the west side. The weather was bad by noon and it is expected to blow hard tonight into the morning. ......
