Fish Report for 4-17-2022

Hi’s Tackle Box gang today

4-17-2022
Jon Yokomizo

Captains Joe and Darin found some rockfish and lingcod for the Hi’s Tackle Box gang today out at the Farallon Islands. The charter finished their day with 160 rockfish 23 lingcod to 16 pounds. It looks like we’ll be getting a little break in the weather for at least the first half of the week, we’ll see what Mother Nature throws at us this year for offshore weather.
My plan this year is if all the models come in line for bad weather I’ll be making my decision to cancel or give you the option of fishing in the bay with as much advanced notice as possible. Typically if I make a last minute change it’s because the 3 to 4 different weather models show something different with at least 1 showing fishable offshore weather and I’ll need to make a decision which one to believe. I try my best to give you as much advance notice as possible so you’ll have the time to make different plans, I know these trips are expensive and it takes planning to take time off of work and the cost of buying food and drinks for the trip. I’ve been on the receiving end of it as well. I’ve been canceled on the evening before in Sicily, the Everglades and San Diego a number of times and had to scramble to figure out what else to do ( I just take the wind wherever I travel) so I fully understand the disappointment.

The Sea Wolf runs trips out of Fish Emeryville in Emeryville, CA. If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (510) 652-3403 to get in on the action.
