Santee Lakes Staff
Our spotlight today is on Brandon who caught this beautiful 10 pound bass out of Lake 3 using a red craw roboworm. The bass bite has been heating up recently with this warmer weather recently. Crankbaits, senkos, and jerkbaits are still the most popular to use. There are some trout in the water to catch still, but our last stock was a month ago so start getting ready to shift gears into catfish mode! If you are fishing for trout then powerbait or a kastmaster is going to be the bait of choice. The catfish opener is April 23rd and 24th. Hope to see you out here!
