Fish Report for 3-1-2022

Local Rockfish Opener

3-1-2022
Seaforth Staff

  • Today is March 1st which means rockfishing is open to us here in Southern California waters once again. The New Seaforth spent the last two months fishing rockfishing in Mexican waters where it is open year round and we had great success but we are happy to be back in local waters once again.

  • The New Seaforth is officially back to the normal AM/PM schedule. This morning's AM Half Day trip ended with 11 Vermilion rockfish, 79 assorted rockfish and 2 Whitefish for their 36 anglers. The PM trip ended with 67 assorted rockfish, 16 Whitefish, 1 Vermilion rockfish and 1 Sculpin for their 30 anglers. There are plenty of spots availbale throughout the month so invite the friends and family and come enjoy some Half Day fishing with us. We are recommending dropper loop rigs with 25# line, 2/0 Hooks and 8 oz. sinkers for the current fishing conditions.
