The lake remained 29 percent of capacity, and water temperatures have been in the mid-fifties. Bass anglers reported better numbers of smaller bass biting in 10 to 40 feet of water. Most of the action came on drop shot, darter heads, and shaky heads, but some shallow water Senko fish also took the bait. Anglers used spoons to fool deeper fish holding near shad schools. Catfish went for chicken liver, cut baits, garlic nightcrawlers, and dip bait, and crappie bite jigs over deeper cover.
