Fish Report for 1-27-2022
The Kilchis will be getting very low and clear this week
1-27-2022
OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff
The Kilchis is a mostly wild steelhead river with no hatchery releases, but there is plenty of catch-and-release opportunity and the occasional stray hatchery fish shows up. The Kilchis will be getting very low and clear this week. A little rain on Sunday should help, but fishing conditions will likely remain challenging. There are definitely wild steelhead in the system (catch-and-release only). When fishing low and clear water using smaller, subtle presentations and stealthy tactics will improve the chances of success.
