Great weekend for the Brookings Fishing Charters crew. The Miss Brooke, Papa B and Bout Time ran rockfish trips on Sunday, with limits despite a bigger swell than forecasted. Lots of action on our six-pack boats, with a nice variety of blacks and blues. We are seeing really healthy numbers of rockfish this winter, supporting ODFW’s assessment that the Oregon Coast rockfish and lingcod populations are healthy and sustainable. We’ve also had guides on the Smith and Chetco rivers and have been catching beautiful winter steelhead. Here are some of the catches from the weekend with Capt. Andy, Michael and Rye.
