McCloud River Update
11-12-2021
The Fly Shop
On Wednesday, November 17th, PG & E will be operationally testing an outflow valve on Lake McCloud dam. Releases from the dam will be as high as 2,000 CFS. We do not know how long this test will be in effect. We have an eyewitness report the river has cleared significantly on the lower end near the lake. We see this on the turbidity gage as well. No first hand reports of what is coming out of the lake, however. If the visibility up on Ash Camp, Ah-di-na and the Conservancy is good those fish have to eating everything they can see.
