Water Conditions: Fair-Good
Flows are at 85 cfs as of 11/11
Fishing Conditions and Hatches:Good-Very Good
The New News, flows are still going down slowly, up by PVR dam is picking up and surface activity is wildly inconsistent. Good news, we now have a lot more water to fish! Flows are dropping, making some people happy and other people sad. To me one of the downsides of lower flows is that it pushes fish downstream out of the riffles and into the holes. Midges are around all day with caddis and a very good BWO hatch with some scattered #16 mayflies mixed in, starting around 11. Some surface activity but mainly nymphing. So far the water has remained clear but keep in mind that after rain or snow melt the river can be dirty below the Petroglyph parking (#9) from Horton Creek. If you're down below and it's dirty just move upstream until you find clean water.
